My soul feels peace;
my eyes are set on the sleeping dragon.
The shapes of the reptile, elegant and lithe.
Does he dream of clear waters and lush trees?
His somnolent dignity betrays no ambition.
Perhaps his fantasy lies in the simple bliss of now.
I watch the lizard smile at his own quiet revelation.
My soul feels at peace;
present in this green moment.

My soul felt peace reading this.
I love the way you think...
Thanks for making me smile again.
I'm so glad... Thank you!! = ]
Yes. I love the way you think, too. You wring poetry out of everything!!!
And that is one happy creature. Even if lizard-thingies don't exactly register "happy."
:)
Thank you, Candy. You're right, of course, about the lack of emotion in reptiles. Maybe that's why God gave them that great smile built right in: to give them that likeability. I don't know. It sounded good for a minute. ha. = ]
Sounds like a good theory to me!
